The Next Puja STRIKES back!

It is the start of a new year! A new era beings... The same people developing and I wish that everyone has a GREAT Year ahead! I'm also very excited to be back in action at DPL again after such a long absent.

In a day, a person only has that much amount of time but how can he manage so many people!!! Rinpoche has a compassionate heart! The look on his face does not represent his tiredness; rather is his sadness. He sees that so many beings are suffering, suffering from all sorts of illness and sicknesses. This is all the sadness you see on his face, you will not see his tiredness anywhere. I would name this as working tirelessly...

I wish everyone well in 2007! Cheers~

Thank You Tingle for the prompt response that I called out!

I will be back in Singapore early November, which means that i will miss Lati Rinpoche's Grand Puja!! Just missed it! Although I know the Puja will be of GREAT success, I definiltely want to be part of it.

Recently, my plans back to Singapore are rather simple... Either I will start school first or start work first but most properly I will start school and work part time. Since Ah Ying and my Dad strongly recommended that I should start school first, and I know I work myself to the limit for all the goals that I want to achieve.

Actually I got this business idea that I came up with, hope that you all can gimme some feedbacks. I will get order from Singapore to develop photographs back in Thailand and earn the difference, I know it would be much; but when the quantity really comes in, I feel that this could work. What I need to know is, will people develop their softcopy pictures?!

Hahaha ... Wangster is missing the people here ... Okok I guess I m the first one to start with the update.

Nothing much happening in my life. Just had my gallbladder removal surgery on 28 Sept. Yes, the surgeon removed my gallbladder because it had many many small stones and some even travelled out to the bile duct connected to my intestine. Luckily, I was quick to go for the surgery otherwise the stones will travel further and that will complicate my health situation and cause infection.

Of course, this was done successfully with a lot of prayers from the puja so BIG THANKS AND HUGS AND KISSESS for Joanne, Auntie Karen, the Smart People at DPL, DPL and the monks (Hmm, I can't do physical hug to the monks so I am giving virtual hugs to them. Heh). I have 4 small cuts on my tummy and I am now recovering at home. I can't do heavy lifting so that means I can't carry Russell until next week!

About Russell, he used to hate formula milk and doesn't like to drink from the bottle. I was told that on the day I stayed in the hospital, he cried non stop for 3 hours without anyone able to comfort him. Sigh, heart broken! He had no mommy to breastfeed him so he kinda protested. But after the crying, suddenly he is ok with bottle feed and wants to drink formula milk. Ha! I am kinda relieved because feeding him is much easier now.

Moreover, he suddenly can drink alot and he has put on quite alot of weight. He also like his tummy time and learning to rollover. His hands open up and he can grab things more firmly. He can even grab his milk bottle. He also like to put everything he grab into his mouth. Haha. Sound like a greedy little fellow.

About Jordan, he got alot of assignments to do and all of those sounds alien to me. I will never understand engineering and will never be able to study that. But, he still plays games alot. When it is time to submit the assignment, he will scramble and everything will be in a mess. Sigh, that guy! But, he is a good father. Russell likes him alot and loves to be carried by him. When we sleep, Jordan will often use Russell as his back support (yes, how dangerous, rite) but Russell seems to enjoy to be squeezed by his dad. In fact, he will sleep towards his dad rather than me. Now, I put a baby bolster in between them so Jordan will not squeeze him too hard.

Me n Jordan is coming back to Singapore on 19-24 October. I have time to attend Lati Rinpoche's puja rite???? Haha. We will come back again on 18 Nov - early Jan and this time with Russell. Hmmm, can't wait to let him meet up with his frens in DPL!!!

So, see you guys very soon. I know most of u in Sg are working hard for the grand puja, Shiya studying hard for her O Level and Wangster in Thailand. Jia You, all of you! Take care, yah! Dun forget to practise Lam Rim!

While surfing for info for the grand puja materials, I chanced upon this para which delighted me greatly, and I thought I'd post it here so I collect some merit for myself! hehe!

[Thanks*** for reminding me I have this blog to post here.. else I might really have forgotten whether this site is alive or dead le. Lol ;p ]

Dharma is the most important thing in one's life. The best practice is the meditate on the Lam Rim each day, to achieve realisations in the Lam Rim - step by step. During your job, whatever you are doing, ie. eating, sleeping, working, try to do it with Lam Rim, especially Bodhicitta - the thought of benefitting others.

In this way, all your actions because they are performed with Bodhicitta, become pure Dharma, the cause of Enlightenment, and the cause of happiness for all sentient beings.

For myself, I mean I know this all along... I'm sure some of you do too. But we always forget.. even for myself.

I hope this is helpful for all of us, whether as a wake-up call, or a cause for contemplation. :)

I hereby proudly announce, I AM NOW A FREE BIRDDDD..!!!!!! Jamie Looi has officially ended her sufferings as Brand Executive in Sara Lee Singapore, yesterday at 5:30pm, 1st Sept 2006. Wahahhahaa...

Today feels like a brand new leash of life.. a string of lovely birds' chirping.. a basketful of red apples.. an orchard of pretty flowers!! Wooohooo~ :D

Aiyahh ok lar... wahaha.. Don't act poetic already :p I am just damn happy lar. I couldnt wait for the day to be released from those mindless meaningless mundane tasks I had to do everyday at office u know..!! I practically struggled to be free from the not cruel, but highly irritating claws of my boss.! And the days seemed longer and longer as my last day was approaching - cos the feeling is like, wanna come and yet its still not here yet (u all understand one or not!?) ;p - and you're just pining every moment to get over that whole shit and be done with - that feeling very xinku right!!

But anyway. Now also all over.. so better stop whining. In case you all dont make me your favourite blogger liaos. Lol, I know I am lor. ;)

Come come, lemme show u some pics of my farewell party last night.. went to Long Beach restaurant and then to Villa Bali (OMG this place is super chill out man!! The atmosphere very nice, very relac one' anybody been there?? I see already then I already know where our next post grand puja celebration will be already ;) wahahaa...)

Bernards. my war-mate.. :) He very sweet lar.. surprised me with a cherry custard he baked the night before, cos I love cherries.. and also specially brought cherry brandy to share. So effortful.. I very gandong.. sobs*

Pls hor, 40 yrs old already, got 1 wife + 2 daughters + 1 son (plus 1 daughter like to have malay & indian boyfrens) wahaha.. Aiyaa all of them in office takes care of me very well la really. But just too bad. The attraction of DPL is really far too great for me to even feel any attachement for me to stay in Sara Lee just for nice people? Erms. Noo.. not a single chance :/ Hard-hearted lar. Now u noe :)

Anyway, I feel abit the show-off posting all my office pple pics over here, like why am I posting stuff that has no impact on your lives whatsoever!?! Wahaha.. Aiyaa dont like that lar.. just let me post can?? I just feel quite gandong maa, so just lemme post and talk abt them lar ok~ haha.

Wangs ah! Yeaaa now is the great start to preparation of the Grand Puja already. It officially starts N O W !!!! :p Cos all preparation work starts with all the publicity materials correct? All the posters, brochures, invitation cards etc.. So that is my department ma.. So I shall start the (Dharma) wheel rollin' rollin'.. :D

But I think Joanne that side also starting already lar! (Like as if she wont start. Pls lor, she rest one second also wont rest one lor. Sure short life this kind of people. wahahhaa... cek ark. Aiyarr but she got alot of merits la okie.. wahahaa.. me too, cos I rejoice!)

Hmm.. Wangs, if you still dont know about it yet.. :) we are also organising a Vajrasattva retreat from 25/11 to 10/12.. purify karma leh!! I think its gonna be a very good and beneficial retreat.. Hope we can all do it properly :) Aye aye go to www.drophenling.com la okie! Dont be out of the loop! Lol.. So I guess, the bulk of us will be there at Gaden Shartse by that date already lors. Well, not all of us are going lar, lol, cos some have other work / study commitments etc ma right (actually is just not enough merits) wahahaha... aiya ok lar. I really very cek ark. JUST KIDDING ma!! ;/

So far, I guess only Joanne, Pearl, and me going. We're all gonna return to monastery together with Lati Rinpoche and the monks.. but currently I dont think we have any indicative dates of when we will be travelling back to India yet. We only set the retreat date starting at 25/11. It has gotta be a date around 25/11 lar! Lol.. hmm.. I dont think anyone is like going at a later date.. at least not at this moment.. :/ Why leh, u have any plans?

Anyway heys! The retreat is gonna take up to 90 people u know!! Can you believe it?! Woohoo.. I cant really leh. Waha. Dont tell me we're gonna have so many leaders to take care of so many people. Sure abit luan one lor.. but aiya, that leaves for further meetings and discussions.. .. . . now the main issue is the GRAND PUJA! haha.. I think my current urgent task at hand is thinking a name for the event. Then Alex can start his wheel rollin' rollin' too ;)
